I feel like I’ve been really busy recently, but on reflection I don’t think I’ve done that much! I did have my 20 week scan on March 6th - it was amazing! The detail of the baby is unreal, they even showed us (in colour) the blood pumping through it’s little heart! It’s at the 20 week scan you can find out the sex, Zach and I decided not to find out and will be waiting for the surprise at the birth. I still cannot believe I’m already over half way through!
Everyone at work and at home seem excited about the up and coming Baby arrival, I’ve been getting lots of hints and tips. I know I still have a way to go but people have been asking how I feel about giving birth as it’s my first. I can genuinely say I am not fazed...yet! The way I see it is that the baby has to come out one way or another, there is no point worrying about it, but no doubt as it gets closer I’ll probably change my tune lol!
Now don’t laugh... my friend Chloe started a knitting club which I go to every Wednesday, obviously being pregnant I have decided to knit something baby related. I decided to start with this papoose! Fingers crossed it goes ok. I only taught myself to knit less than a year ago and haven’t got in that much practice.
Oh, I also got another new swimsuit, well a tankini. This one is a bit more fun as it has cute print. I will let you know how I get on with the swimming next time.

Since I last wrote I have had my 16 week midwife appointment...it was fairly routine. I did get to listen to the heartbeat though which was strange but also amazing and the midwife showed Zach how to feel where the baby is! My bump is also starting to come along now.
Other than that I’ve not been up to much, well I say that...I’ve been either out for dinner or over friends for dinner five times in the last two weeks and I’ve had my hair done... finally! On a bit of a healthy eating mission at the moment I seem to have been getting away with eating whatever I like because ‘I’m Pregnant’ but as Baby Upton also absorbs what I eat it’s probably best to eat well! Also, I bought a maternity swimsuit (from figleaves of course), I will be starting swimming soon to get a bit of exercise, I used to play netball but have had to knock that on the head now. Hopefully going to start antenatal yoga soon too, that should be interesting!

Hello, my name is Keeley and for the past 3 and a half years have been working in the Customer Service team at figleaves.com. I was officially 15 weeks pregnant last Sunday!
It seems so strange that in 5 weeks I’ll be half way through... the time has gone so quickly already! My 12 week scan was a couple of weeks ago now but all was fine and baby Upton is growing as normal so that was a relief. You can’t help but worry about these things.
This Sunday I popped to Ikea with the parents and got a few bit to decorate the nursery. I’ve decided to go with a Hungry Caterpillar theme. Hubby and I wanted something gender neutral as we won’t be finding out the sex...I managed to get a lovely sunshine ceiling light and a giant leaf bed canopy to hang over the cot. People have also started buying us gifts already (which I can’t complain about!) and as I’ve told friends about my nursery theme I’ve had Hungry Caterpillar gifts.
Linda who I work with here in Customer Service is a fab knitter and with no pattern has knitted me this! A baby ‘snuggle sack’ with a hat...Love it!
Over the next 6 months I will be sharing my journey with you. Please get in touch if you are expecting too, I would love to hear your news.
