Name: Kerry Williams
Job Title: Fauve Senior Designer
Time with Fauve: 7 Years
How did you become a lingerie designer at Fauve?
My career at Eveden started in 1999, I have worked on several brands within the Eveden portfolio. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be involved with Fauve from the start and influence the brand direction.
Fauve is a relatively new brand. How would you describe Fauve?
Beautiful, confident, luxurious, seductive and sexy. It only seems like yesterday that we were developing the Fauve concept back in 2005. We launched our first collections in 2007. From a collection with just three ranges we have grown into a brand with a large and loyal following, Fauve’s creative handwriting has evolved over the past five years into a sophisticated, glamorous style with an unflinching attention to detail and of course exceptional fit.
What is a ‘day in the life’ like for a Fauve Lingerie Designer?
Every day is different; from researching and developing new materials and trims to cutting patterns and ensuring a perfect fit. I am always seeking new ideas and inspiration.
Where do you get inspiration for your designs?
We watch trend predictions closely, trends on the catwalks and when we can, we go on inspiration trips or visit Europe to select the latest embroidery, lace and fabric. We also consider what has worked well in previous collections and receive constant feedback from our sales teams, customers and design team.
Here at figleaves.com, we love the beautiful Fauve Rosa Bridal collection, what is your favourite Fauve lingerie set and why?
Rosa is stunning however I will always love Emmanuelle, it is simply beautiful, I love both the Bronze and Latte shades!
Can you give us a sneaky insight into what we can expect for AW11?
Lots of beautiful embroidery and lace, some real statement show stopping pieces such as Veronique, and some gorgeous boudoir inspired pieces such as Lucia.
