All you regular blogleaves readers will have noticed that blogleaves has always been a female only zone, which is all fine and great, but from this day forward, things are a changing! It is now time to inject some testosterone into this blog, and give everyone a male perspective on things!
I'm Brian, I'm Scottish and I've just recently moved down to Welwyn Garden City (where you'll find figleaves HQ) from Glasgow to start my first proper full time job since graduating from my graphic design course.
I was ecstatic to get a job at figleaves.com as a junior graphic designer, even though it meant moving away from all my friends and family back home, but it was a new adventure, so I had to embrace it and go for it!
My work within the business concentrates on staring at beautiful girls all day on the screen (one of the perks of the job) and designing all sorts of online and offline material for figleaves.
I work within a small team and the work really varies, sometimes I'll be designing the emails you receive every week or I'll be working on a feature detailing the latest trends, as well as lots of other exciting design stuff.
Here's an example of a feature I designed:
You can also view this feature directly if you click here
I am constantly learning from senior designers each day - which is brilliant and the whole creative team have been working on some exciting new developments, so watch this space!
Out of work, I'm a huge football fan (my team is Rangers F.C) and I'm really into my music. I frequently go to many gigs and I just generally love having a total laugh! I am also going to Thailand in 4 weeks time, so if you know anything exhilarating and fun to do there, then you have to tell me! I must insist though, NO ladyboy's please!
My fellow blogger, Michelle has just set up a twitter account for me.
I'm new to it all, so get following me @figleaves_bri and help me settle in and get me tweetin. You never know, I might just give you some sneaky peeks and gossip from behind the scenes at figleaves in return!
