So with much anticipation figleaves.com has launched their new FGL collection, expertly designed by our in-house team. This is an important milestone for us and a collection we believe will fit well with our existing product offering. For the last couple of weeks we have been busy casting models from top agencies especially for our FGL range. To help us understand the brand vision we have put Zoe Norman, our Menswear Buyer in the hot seat.
Zoe, this is an exciting time for the menswear team with the launch of FGL. How did we choose the brand name FGL?
FGL stands for figleaves gentleman’s label. We wanted it to be a masculine brand in its own right but also to have a strong link to the figleaves brand, so our customers would recognise and trust it.
What’s special about FGL?
The core values of the brand is simply great quality, comfort and style. Fantastic form fitting shapes and premium soft-to-the-skin fabrics are absolutely central to the range making FGL a truly luxury product.
What style of underwear is the FGL range available in?
There are 3 ranges available for launch – Essential: an everyday product that every man needs in his underwear collection – it’s made from super soft stretch cotton in tried and tested easy to wear shapes and colours. Colour Real: designed to revitalise your underwear drawer with splashes of colour and metallic waistbands, madefrom super soft stretch cotton with a trend-led fit. Lastly our active range offers great comfort and support whilst working out and the fabric has a special moisture wicking finish to keep you cool and dry. Who is the typical FGL man?
FGL appeals to any man who values the perfect cut and great quality as their top underwear priorities.– everyone should be able to find a design within the range to suit them!
The chosen model needs to encompass all of the traits we believe would reflect the brand and it’s values, so the criteria is tight. Our new FGL range is bold yet comfortable so it is important that the model has a strong look but is obviously comfortable in his own skin and can radiate that understated confidence...
