Doing Something Funny For Money at figleaves.com

Comic Relief fever hit the figleaves.com offices last Friday, with everyone taking part in fundraising activities in the aim of raising lots of money for the Red Nose cause.

To kick off the proceedings the figleaves.com social committee figlife were all to undergo a forefeit in exchange for the offices charitable donations. For the entire day we were all to stroll around wearing underwear as outerwear; grabbing a sandwhich at lunchtime was rather embarrasing!

A figleaves.com charity fundraiser would not be complete without a bake sale. Chocolate brownies, homemade scones and mini Victoria sponges were all in competition to win prizes for Best Tasting and Best Looking.

By lunchtime the silliness had spread across the whole figleaves.com office. The studio team very kindly offered their expert services to raise money in our Red Nose Day Photobooth. And here are the results;

Spring hosiery trends straight from the runway

As the weather starts to warm up, there is always the dilemma of whether to go bare legged and set those pasty white legs free after a winter of being cooped up, or to spare yourself the goose bumps and keep them covered for a little while longer. To help solve this fashion ordeal I’ve put together a few spring hosiery trends straight from the SS11 catwalks of John Paul Gaultier and Balmain. There are some great choices in tights and hold ups to keep yourself warm and fashionable during the in between seasons, when you’re tired of those opaque black tights.

Floral lace is a fun spring alternative to plain tights and adds a pop to your outfit. For a monochromatic look - wear tights in a similar shade to your clothing or add a splash of colour with bright tights.

With the rise in trendy Burlesque shows and Christina Aguilera’s new movie coming out, fishnet stockings are popular for spring. Play with different sizes of fishnets in shades of nude and black. Although I’m not a fan of the ripped tights trend, runway looks are showing fishnets with holes paired with jean shorts.

I always see girls going out for the night on the tube in short skirts and bare legs-shivering. I’m from Canada, so used to freezing winter weather, but would never imagine stepping out in bare legs at night this time of year (wimp!).
