Hello I’m Michelle and I joined figleaves.com in August this year, in the role of Marketing Assistant. One of my main responsibilities is to co-ordinate our seasonal catalogues, and I’ve been working on our Christmas edition since my very first day! So I’m very pleased to see it live and gorgeous on the site.
Throughout the whole catalogue process I work really closely with our lovely figleaves Buyers and Merchandisers, who have the task of selecting the best of our festive figleaves goodies to grace our catalogue’s pages. Once the products have been decided upon we can begin building our catalogue; from finalising quantities, ordering paper and scheduling printing, to compiling our customer mailing list and booking insertion dates with magazines. We also arrange the photo shoot, by booking models and locations, packing up and sending samples. I was lucky enough to assist on a shoot, spending a day on location in a fabulous South London town house.
Once all of our stunning photography is in place we start to look at the layout; seeing how best our lingerie, nightwear and cashmere sits within the pages and writing all the beautiful copy. The entire catalogue process involves numerous stages of proofing and amendments. Each individual page is studied with a fine tooth comb, ensuring all our amazing products look gorgeous and all the finishing touches are just right. When absolutely perfect we take a trip to our printers to confirm in person our final treasured version and send it off to print.
