Last year figleaves.com helped local charity Teens Unite to hold a fund raising dinner and fashion show. We felt privileged to be invited back again to help out this year, and the event really lived up to our expectations.
Established in 2007 Teens Unite Fighting Cancer is dedicated to helping improve the lives of young people between the ages of 13-24 battling with life limiting illnesses. The organisation is funded entirely by contributions and holds fund raising events such as dragon boat racing, bike rides and celebrity parties and fashion shows, in order to raise money and provide support for teenagers affected by cancer.
This event was held on Wednesday at Tewin Bury Farm in Hertfordshire, guests were welcomed with champagne, before being guided to their table where figleaves.com gift bags lay waiting. Each of our bags for life contained a pair of cute figleaves knickers, gorgeously scented draw liners and a handy tape measure, along with some Toni and Guy hair products and a Teens Unite t-shirt.
Founders Karen Millen OBE and Debbie Pezzani began proceedings, thanking guests for their attendance. A delicious three course meal was then served, followed by two truly humbling and emotional speeches from Ediz and Kayleigh, two teens fighting against their illness. Both have shown great courage and strength, proving to be true inspirations.
Various prizes were then auctioned off, including a digital camera, VIP passes to a safari park (won by our very own CEO Julia Reynolds) and a figleaves cashmere hat and scarf set.
Choreographed by GMTV’s Kevin Adams, with hair and makeup supplied by Toni and Guy, the figleaves.com fashion show wowed the audience. Walking to music by the Kings of Leon and Katy Perry, the models (girls and guys) looked amazing strutting down the catwalk in our lingerie, nightwear and loungewear. figleaves volunteers worked busily behind the scenes dressing each model, ensuring a smooth and fantastic show.

Everyone involved from figleaves.com thoroughly enjoyed their evening, feeling extremely privileged to be involved with such a good cause. Planning is already underway for our next involvement with Teens Unite...5k run anyone?!
