Behind the scenes with Phoebe

Figleaves. Figleaves? The word pops into your head and you think...underwear! Bra’s, knickers, shorties and thongs, right? Well thankfully, during my week as an intern with the Figleaves marketing department, I was pleased to find that the company offers a lot more than just underwear, not to mention learning more about the fashion world then I ever would have done by reading my favourite magazines.

At first I was very nervous, but the team were very welcoming and looked after me, thanks guys! The highlights included....

• Having my own point of view really valued
• Getting a fresh look at the website
• Sitting on yoga balls at the desk instead of chairs, working those abs!
• Having a sneak preview at the Christmas catalogue and helping to proof it for publishing.
• And thankfully not being ordered to make endless cups of tea and coffee.

On Tuesday I sat in on a photo shoot, watching the model prance around in her underwear took a little getting used to, but was lovely and she even joined in the chocolate scoffing session at tea time in the studio, to my surprise! I also loved getting a sneak peak at what’s coming up over the next few months, and oooo you’re in for a treat my friends!

Elle Macpherson Intimates...for starters, WHAT a woman, and secondly WHAT a collection! Phwoar looking at the range on the Figleaves site, I am worried about the health of my keyboard – doubting dribble does it much good.

These are a few of my personal favourites, hoping to invest in the third cheeky blue number by the end of the week. Age 16, I won’t be needing the maternity bra (red) anytime soon, but isn’t it great to offer some sexy lingerie, to give mums-to-be a boost when they’re pregnant? The lingerie world and Elle (we’re on first name terms) totally agree. Figleaves belives every woman, whatever size, has a right to look and feel fabulous – and who wouldn’t agree with that!
