....don't worry, the credit crunch has not hit the pants market that hard, this was the price paid by a very happy buyer for Queen Victoria's bloomers which went under auction yesterday. Hitting nine times their estimate, the bloomers with a 50 inch waist are dated from the 1890s and have the insignia V.R. to illustrate their authenticity.
