Pale and interesting?

Lindsay_pale_2

Here's Lindsay Lohan looking rather paler that usual. In flinging away the fake tan she joins the famously alabaster likes of Nicole Kidman, Kelly Osbourne and Nicola from Girls Aloud, who recently renounced orange for white.

It's a trend - and a very sensible one at that - but it does pose a problem: what on earth do you wear on the beach to flatter pasty skin? Below, a few suggestions - UK first:

Choc_vitamin_a Choc_anita Blue_speedo Red_ballet

Chocolate and navy are a more gentle alternative to black; red is surprisingly flattering choice. Left to right: Vitamin A, Anita, Speedo, Ballet.

And from our US site:

Do you plan to tan this summer? Let us know.

No way! I don't want to look like a streaky, orange WAG! So I'll be puting on my suncream and loving the way I look - naturally.

Could you let me know when white miracle swim suits will be available. Thanks

the only thing better than a real "healthy" tan is your true skin colore!! but dont snob the sun..nothing can grow without it and carrefull if it's too much you will burn!!
btw orange in't tan..its a skin desease!!

Of course! Honestly how can anyone think they look half as attractive when they are white?!?!? I asy spray tan, solarium or bake in the sun this Summer! You would be crazy not to.
