Janet Jackson is the latest celeb to be planning her own lingerie line, says the osoyou blog. Given her well-documented yo-yo tendencies, can we expect days-of-the-week knickers in seven different sizes?

Some of our most glamorous swimwear has been appearing in the US glossies this month. Here's Ondademar's graphic one-piece $149 in Vibe magazine.
Next, here's Letarte's seahorse kaftan $145 in Life & Style. The magazine's top tip? "Just add shorts for shopping or white jeans for drinks."

Simon writes: So the sun is shining here at figleaves HQ and I thought I'd start off the morning with a Speedos v Swimshorts debate. You know the kind of speedos I mean.
A quick straw poll from male colleagues got a stark 'swimshorts or nothing' reaction. But according to Askmen.com the debate is actually divided by geography more than anything else. Men in North America are more swim/boardshorts based than their European counterparts. Certainly having holidayed in the South of France last year, speedos seemed de rigeur among the older holidaymakers. And the Russians. But the younger ones were certainly veering towards shorts by the pool.
Perhaps it's all a confidence thing, with the older male more used to his body and feeling confident with who they are than younger types still working it out. figleaves policy? Whatever you feel most comfortable in of course, we've got a great selection of both, check em out here

Here's Lindsay Lohan looking rather paler that usual. In flinging away the fake tan she joins the famously alabaster likes of Nicole Kidman, Kelly Osbourne and Nicola from Girls Aloud, who recently renounced orange for white.
It's a trend - and a very sensible one at that - but it does pose a problem: what on earth do you wear on the beach to flatter pasty skin? Below, a few suggestions - UK first:
Chocolate and navy are a more gentle alternative to black; red is surprisingly flattering choice. Left to right: Vitamin A, Anita, Speedo, Ballet.
And from our US site:
Left to right: Lisa Curran, Freya Swim, Miraclesuit, Huit.
Do you plan to tan this summer? Let us know.

What to do if you find yourself stranded on a German mountainside this summer: remove your bra; hook it to a cable; then hope for a local logger to find it and raise the alarm. It worked for an American hiker, says the Daily Mail. It helps if your are wearing a bra in a bright colour, of course.

Red carpet news: Here's Chronicles of Narnia star Anna Popplewell at the London premiere of the movie. She's rocking two essential looks here: the one-shoulder dress (with a strapless bra underneath, perhaps); and rich purple - a colour we'll be seeing a lot more in the coming months. Get in the mood with our purple lingerie.

Fans of Freya (and there are a lot of you out there) who like to keep fit will love the brand's latest collection: Freya Active. This new range of sports bras has been endorsed by Dr Chris Steele of This Morning fame.
"Consider sports bras such as the Freya Active range, which are unique in their design as they shape and lift rather than compressing your bust whilst offering the ultimate in support and comfort,’’ says the media medic.

It's all about sturdy swimwear this summer, according to the Sunday Telegraph yesterday - a big relief for those of us over 25, as well as anyone who has popped out a baby or two. If you like your swimwear with a little more coverage, check out our Fifties-inspired retro selection; this Seaspray polka dot set is a particular favourite

Bit tenuous I know but who can resist the Wii Fit girlfriend video - such a runaway hit that Nintendo has been forced to deny that it's all a marketing hoax? Any excuse to talk about Wii Fit, to be honest - I am totally addicted to my new electronic friend that lives under the telly. But let's focus on the underwear: having unlocked the 10 minute hula, I can report that it's a lot more comfortable if you do it in a sports bra.

Did you see Mary Queen of Shops last night? Scary boutique owner Amanda had me hiding behind the sofa so I missed the bit where she learned to love her fuller figure customers. Luckily, however, our friends at Eveden managed to keep watching and sent through details of the lingerie that earned Mary's seal of approval on the show.
Left to right: Fauve by Fantasie bra (seen in navy on the show; available at figleaves.com in bronze) £45, Fantasie bra (available in white, nude and buttermilk) £32

Simon writes: Well, we know that football certainly won't be coming home this Summer, with none of the home nations involved in the Euro 2008 Tournament. But actually, this has allowed us to sit back, relax and enjoy the footie, not having 8 page editorials dedicated to meta-bleedin-tarsals is somewhat refreshing. The football itself has not been so bad thus far, with hosts Austria and Switzerland being the plucky losers and fancied countries like Germany and Portugal showing some early strength.
Of course, I could dissect the football side of things all day, but the blog editor is sitting over my shoulder wondering when I am going to bring underwear into the equation, so I better start doing that pretty sharpish.
Well, looking at the countries involved, if this was a 'contribution to Men's Underwear' tournament, there would only be one winner. Sure Sweden would come close with their Bjorn Borg range and the Germans would hit the crossbar of success with their comfy Mey range. However, the champions would have to be Italy - with names such as Armani and D&G playing upfront with Moschino and Diesel warming up the bench, the Italians really do know how to do underwear pretty well. They'll be teaching the Dutch a lesson this evening in more ways than one...

On the left here is some very good bra behaviour - it's a summery half cup by feminine French label Simone Perele. And the bad stuff? Well, the brand has just conducted a survey to find the worst celebrity bra crimes. Topping the list was Victoria Beckham for her ill fitting bras under see-through tops; second was Amy Winehouse for her clashing bra and vest combos; and third Cheryl Cole. More details and gallery on msn; meanwhile, click here to have a good bra day with Simone Perele.
