Janet Jackson is the latest celeb to be planning her own lingerie line, says the osoyou blog. Given her well-documented yo-yo tendencies, can we expect days-of-the-week knickers in seven different sizes?
Some of our most glamorous swimwear has been appearing in the US glossies this month. Here's Ondademar's graphic one-piece $149 in Vibe magazine.
Next, here's Letarte's seahorse kaftan $145 in Life & Style. The magazine's top tip? "Just add shorts for shopping or white jeans for drinks."
Simon writes: So the sun is shining here at figleaves HQ and I thought I'd start off the morning with a Speedos v Swimshorts debate. You know the kind of speedos I mean.
A quick straw poll from male colleagues got a stark 'swimshorts or nothing' reaction. But according to Askmen.com the debate is actually divided by geography more than anything else. Men in North America are more swim/boardshorts based than their European counterparts. Certainly having holidayed in the South of France last year, speedos seemed de rigeur among the older holidaymakers. And the Russians. But the younger ones were certainly veering towards shorts by the pool.

It's a trend - and a very sensible one at that - but it does pose a problem: what on earth do you wear on the beach to flatter pasty skin? Below, a few suggestions - UK first:
Chocolate and navy are a more gentle alternative to black; red is surprisingly flattering choice. Left to right: Vitamin A, Anita, Speedo, Ballet.
And from our US site:
Left to right: Lisa Curran, Freya Swim, Miraclesuit, Huit.
Do you plan to tan this summer? Let us know.

What to do if you find yourself stranded on a German mountainside this summer: remove your bra; hook it to a cable; then hope for a local logger to find it and raise the alarm. It worked for an American hiker, says the Daily Mail. It helps if your are wearing a bra in a bright colour, of course.
Here's something to cheer you up on a Monday morning: Spot's Illustrated 2008 Dog Swimsuit issue from super-fun blog Inventor Spot. Enjoy.
Red carpet news: Here's Chronicles of Narnia star Anna Popplewell at the London premiere of the movie. She's rocking two essential looks here: the one-shoulder dress (with a strapless bra underneath, perhaps); and rich purple - a colour we'll be seeing a lot more in the coming months. Get in the mood with our purple lingerie.
