Farewell, then, Yves Saint Laurent. I was lucky enough to see some of his couture shows but anyone who has ever stepped out in a sheer blouse, a tuxedo suit or a peasant top has reason to remember him - the man did invent modern fashion, after all. His greatest hits are still an inspiration today: take a look at this season's swim, for example.
