As Seen in Domino

Fl_domino_march_cover_2 Fl_domino_march_credit

Domino magazine had plenty of suggestions on how to live a greener life this month. In at number 44 was lingerie from our new Greenleaves department. "Part soy, part chemical-free cotton and fully sexy" was Domino's verdict on this Enamore camisole $110 and shorty $60.

Victory for Coleen's real women!

Smalldk_holly_sims_3 Smalldk_holly_sims_5

Good old Coleen, striking a blow for the realistically proportioned woman on her ITV show right now. If you still haven't caught up with last week's mission - to find the face of Ultimo D-G - here's a spoiler: Coleen's search paid off when single mum Holly Sims scooped the assignment, beating professional models to the job. You can see the results above - and doesn't she look lovely? Now the selling bit: left, Leopard padded plunge bra £30; right, Satin Diamante plunge £28.

Love the pics? Love the show? Not convinced? Let us know what you think.

It's red carpet time

Canadian inventions, underwear in space and bikini waxing

  • The Wonderbra is the fifth greatest Canadian invention ever, ranked higher than the pacemaker, basketball and the alkaline battery, says Inventor Spot.
  • What to do when you can't change your underwear in space? Follow Japanese astronaut Takao Doi's lead and pack the latest in antibacterial undies, says IOL.
  • Ouch! Kelly Brook lifts the lid on the pain of bikini waxing and ingrown hairs. Here's a tip, Kelly: try Guinot's Epil Confort cream on the ingrowns (it really does work), or invest in laser hair removal - pricey (and painful) but does the job.

Swedish boxers, bye bye ladders, and Doreen

  • Coming soon to hospitals in Sweden: unisex underwear. The new boxers, designed for both male and female patients, are expected to arrive in hospitals in the summer, says AP.
  • Coming a little later: ladder free tights. A new material that mends itself could be the answer to ripped hosiery problems, says The Times.
  • And staying with The Times, style columnist Lucia Van Der Post sings the praises of Triumph Doreen and Anita Classix swimwear today - solutions for the problem of "looking less than slug-like on the beach".

Abigail on the prowl

Abby_clancy_3 So we did say the other day that Coleen was our favourite WAG, but let's hear it for Abigail Clancy too. Here she is at the Brit awards last night working her leopard print underwear. Now it really wouldn't be responsible to recommend that you all go out flashing your animal print knickers, but it's nice to know that Abigail has one of this season's lingerie trends nailed. Click here to see our selection.

PS. In other Brit awards news, it's another celeb for the Spanx roster: the Daily Mail reports that Rhianna had the control pants sewn into her stage costumes.

Thandie's big knickers

Thandie_3 It's always cheering to know that the celebs - even those as slender as the lovely and fashion forward Thandie Newton - need a little help from their underwear too. As the lovely Thandie demonstrates here, snapped at a pre-Bafta bash in what looks very much like a pair of control knickers, shapewearwear isn't necessarily about making you look thinner; the point of those big knickers is to give you a smooth silhouette under your special occasion frock. Want some? See our control briefs here.
