The thong's stunning comeback

Nicole_thong OK so maybe we were a bit hasty about the death of the thong yesterday. No sooner had we written it off than fashion goddess Nicole Kidman (pictured here with Delta Goodrem) was snapped revealing her undies in a see-through lace dress. And it looks like she's a thong fan. The Daily Mail has the full story - enjoy.

Goodbye to the g-string?

Halle Berry has ditched her thongs for Bridget Jones style big pants now that she is four months pregnant, says Channel 4 news. And she's not the only one. Kiwi women are abandoning their g-strings, reports the New Zealand Herald. The skimpy style now accounts for only 5 per cent of the market.

Paris in stockings

Paris Here's Paris Hilton working an interesting look: sort of the Tudors meets Dita Von Teese. The osoyou blog was not impressed, but it does at least prove that stockings and suspenders are indeed a trend. Fancy having a go? Find stockings here; suspenders here.

Pumpkins, smuggled Speedos and send your pants to Burma

Let's catch up with some international underwear news.

  • Want to protest about Burma's brutal regime? Send your dirty knickers to your nearest Burmese embassy - the superstitious authorities believe that touching women's underwear will rob them of their power, reports the Daily Mail. More about the campaign here.
  • Watch what you do with those Speedos - they could be fatal, says Stuff. The US military has ended an enquiry into the smuggling of unauthorised underwear and a pair of Speedos into Guantanamo Bay. Don't laugh - it's because they can be used as a noose.
  • On a lighter note, here's a bra made out of pumpkins in today's Sun.

Show me your Sloggis - UK winners

Smys_winners_yolande_and_noel These two beautiful people on the left are Noel Watson and Yolande Elliot, winners of the UK part of Sloggi's search for the world's most beautiful bottom. Can't really tell what their bottoms look like from this pic to be honest, but I am sure they will do us proud at the international final on 31 October in Munich.
