Do you measure up?

Myrtle_aa3325_aa3375_olive So I was on Facebook the other day when my friend Lisa forwarded the link to doyoumeasureup.co.uk, the latest site from Eveden (the people behind the mighty Freya and Fantasie brands), where you can have loads of fun guessing the bra sizes of celebs like Lisa Snowdon and Tamzin Outhwaite. I managed 7 out of 10, which won't take me to the top of the leader board, sadly.

The message? Fit matters - as Eveden's fitting expert Jill Adams says, "The difference that the right fitting bra can make to a woman’s body is incredible!"

It's a subject dear to our own hearts, of course - check out the figleaves.com fitting room here.

The Science Bit

Shock_absorber Here's a technical innovation that we're loving right now at figleaves.com (well, the gym bunnies amongst us, anyway): Shock Absorber's new Flexiform sports bra with memory wire, which moves with your body while you exercise and always flexes right back to its original shape. Result? It doesn't look like your traditional sports bra - but it certainly performs like it.

Stop squirming

Loads of fun to be had on Jockey's new site, stopsquirming.com - we're particularly loving its selection of Guy Squirms: have you mastered The Bus Change, Shakin' Off The Dog, or The Cheese Grater? Anyway, the object of the exercise is to join Jockey in the fight against squirming (by buying some new pants, presumably) - "Don't fall prey to this socially awkward affliction," says the brand.

Shapewear goes Glam!

Fl_instyle_septembe_credit_2 A common dilemma for those of us not so blessed in the troublesome tummy/thigh area, as highlighted by Bridget Jones, is whether to go for shaping or sexy.

Now you no longer have to make that decision - as highlighted by US In Style fashion meets function with the Grenier Vintage Shapewear

Bras learn to serve another purpose...

Simon writes: I have often wondered if two of the worlds that I am immersed in (underwear during the day, computer game fan by night) would ever meet in some strange away.  Thanks to the joys of the internet, I have found out they have.  Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you the game controller bra.  Yes, defeat virtual enemies and score cyber goals using a series of buttons and erm, knobs, to control your computer games with.  A young lady named Jenny has created this for her thesis and more power to her.  It reminds me of when virtual reality was set to be the next big thing.  But it can never catch on, can it.....?

Acid House

Jets Colour news: we're looking forward to lots of zingy chartreuse (a kind of acid yellow with a hint of green) coming our way for autumn/winter.

First up is this triangle bikini by JETS, the premium Aussie label designed by Jessika Allen that numbers Nicole Kidman among its many fans. Part of the brand's Lustre collection, this set has a subtle sheen too - thereby nailing two big resort trends in one.

Also new in from JETS: glam Fifties shapes in the Splendour range, and Orient's sophisticated floral prints.
