Celebs on vacation

These days the weekly gossip mags are full of photos of celebs on vacation - just a reminder of all of the fab places they get to go to frolic in the sand. Even though the weather in New York City has felt like summer these past few days, somehow riding the subway to work doesn't compare to riding the waves.   

Our one saving grace this morning was the excitement of finding this picture of Jessica Alba in Us Weekly wearing one of our favorite new bikinis by Vitamin A. This set has just hit the US site of figleaves.com and will be available on the UK side in the next few weeks.

Get fit with Jade

What do Ken Russell and Donny whatsisface know, eh? They might have stormed off the Celeb Big Brother set after Jade Goody arrived, but here at figleaves.com we're big fans of the reality TV queen - particularly with that sharp new haircut.

Anyway, here's a pic of a toned-looking Jade on the cover of her latest workout DVD. • The Lingerie Post reports a sighting of Simone Perele lingerie in the previews for Chris Rock's new movie 'I Think I Love My Wife'.
• The U.S. Air Force jumps on the undies bandwagon by inventing self-cleaning underwear and tees. Apparently the technology involves a coating that repels water, resists stains, and kills bacteria.
• New year, new lucky underwear? According to the Victoria Times Colonist, some cultures look to influence luck in the new year with specific colors of undies. In Mexico, red underwear will bring good luck, but in Venezuela, it's yellow all the way.

Last night a bra strap saved my life

Yep, it's the old bra-as-bullet-proof-vest story (maybe Lady Sovereign wasn't so daft after all). According to Florida Today, Debbie Bingham was enjoying the fireworks on New Year's Eve when she was struck by a stray bullet. What saved her life? Her bra strap of course.

Feeling Happy

Mentions galore for figleaves.com in the latest issue of Happy magazine. Just in - Whitney Houston is auctioning off her undies next week. According to the New York Post's Page Six, Houston will be selling her intimates at an auction in New Jersey on Tuesday in order to earn some much needed cash. Items for sale include 13 Dolce & Gabbana bustiers and four velvet bodysuits.
