Yep, it's the old bra-as-bullet-proof-vest story (maybe Lady Sovereign wasn't so daft after all). According to Florida Today, Debbie Bingham was enjoying the fireworks on New Year's Eve when she was struck by a stray bullet. What saved her life? Her bra strap of course.
