Not content with being papped looking wonderful in a bikini this summer (Closer magazine ran the photos and whipped up a right old media storm), the Socialist Party's front runner for the presidential race nomination is now busy demonstrating her commitment to fine lingerie. The owners of the proudly French lingerie house Aubade are keen to move the brand's factories to Tunisia - and, says the International Herald Tribune, Segolene Royal has been at the forefront of the campaign to prevent this happening.
Yes, we know it's all part of a wider debate about globalisation - but how lovely to think that lingerie can make it to the top of the political agenda.
